NOER cornettino in ebony resin:

Nowadays some players choose this instrument over the treble of the family on account of its comfortable finger stretch.  Indeed the finger hole spacing does make it suitable for children, giving them an insight into the world of renaissance wind otherwise only available to them through the recorder.  Originally, however, the cornettino was a very specialised instrument intended exclusively for use in high virtuosic repertoire by the likes of Schmelzer and Biber.  The sound has been described as between a boy’s voice and a trumpet. The fingering is close to that of a descant recorder in C.

All our resin cornetti are leather covered and come supplied with three acorn resin mouthpieces.
