OUR EXPORTS FROM THE UK:
HOW THIS COULD IMPACT YOU & YOUR DECISION TO PURCHASE

When ordering from Christopher Monk Instruments (jeremywest.co.uk), you must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Orders shipped outside the United Kingdom may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The customer of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches the recipient's country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled by the recipient; Christopher Monk Instruments has no control over these charges, nor can they predict what they may be.

Customs policies vary widely; if you are concerned then you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.

Our instruments are shipped by DHL who are most efficient and swift. Customs paperwork is all dealt with online whilst the instrument is in transit and, assuming that the customer agrees and pays the tariffs required by their home country, then the shipment suffers no delay whatsoever. At the time of writing (2026) a resin cornett was shipped to the Netherlands, delivered to the door exactly 22 hours after collection. This included all the import paperwork, duties payment & etc.
• VAT at 20% will be added to all items (other than books) within the UK only
• import duties may be payable for countries outside Britain and N. Irealnd
• prices in British £'s subject to change without notice
• all instruments at A=440 unless stated otherwise
