G2 cornetts in hand-lacquered crystal resin
While our ebony resin cornetts have been inspiring people over six decades and across five continents to take up the instrument and to delve into its fabulous repertoire, our new range in crystal resin makes a fun diversion from the established "norm". Jolly as these instruments undoubtedly are, make no mistake, they play with that same great sound that we have come to rely on and to trust since the late 1970's. At CM Instruments we have always boasted that, were you to hear a concert with half the pieces played on an instrument in ebony resin and the other half on a state of the art wooden cornett, you would not be able to tell the two apart. The same is NOT true with the "crystal" cornetts - but only on account of their appearance! These cornetts play superbly well. The newcomers are arriving in a choice of red, yellow, blue, green and pink and, if you are anything like me, you are not going to know which way to turn!
Crystal resin cornetts: available from December 2nd 2019 priced at £290 plus vat (20%)**. As with the instruments in ebony resin, the price includes a mouthpiece* and a soft carrying case. Shipping extra (see here for details).
* for mouthpiece Jeremy recommends the NDA model over the TTL. For details or if you need advice on this click here.
And if you are still stuck then email Jeremy for help.
