Resin mouthpieces
NDA mouthpiece: (acorn type) JW's recommendation This mouthpiece will be appropriate to non trumpet players and to trumpet players who wish to try something that's more historically appropriate than the bigger cup TTL
inside dia:14.4 ~ depth:5.5 ~ outside dia:18.0 rim width: 1.96
Hand-made mouthpieces in horn

JW acorn mouthpiece
for use in a wooden cornetto this mouthpiece may also be used in a resin instrument but needs a shorter shank (please specify when ordering) dia:13.9 ~ depth:10.0 ~ outside dia:17.5 ~ rim width: 2.0 to 2.2mm Mouthpiece as played by Jeremy West. Helps to produce a vocal and rounded sound. This mouthpiece is sometimes called a "pastry cutter" (very thin rim)! The advantage of a thin rim over a wide rim is clarity of articulation. The disadvantage is more stress on the lips. |
TTM mouthpiece
This mouthpiece will be of interest to the trumpet player who is ready to take cornett playing to a higher level. Thinner rimmed and rather shallower than the TTL this mouthpiece aids a focussed and vocal sound dia:13.8 ~ depth:7.0 ~ outside dia:21.8 ~ rim width: 3.0 |
